Smart, comprehensive, powerful and inexpensive, the WS-50-C Smart Weather Station console can receive wireless signals from up to 10 different sources, and publishes this information on AmbientWeather.net

The Ambient Weather WS-50-C WiFi console allows you to build your own remote monitoring system. Order the optional sensors listed in the 'You may we also like' section below.

The console measures indoor temperature, humidity and barometric pressure. This package includes an AC adapter. 2 x AA batteries are required (not included). The console connects to the Ambient Weather Network via WiFi for reporting and remote monitoring.

Add the optional wind speed and direction sensor (WS-12-ANEMOMETER), precipitation (WS-12-RAIN), and mix and match up to 8 of the following additional sensors shown in the 'You may we also like' section below.

Temperature and Humidity (F007TH), Temperature Probe (F007TP), floating pool, spa and lake temperature (F007PF) and indoor thermo-hygrometer sensor (FT012TH).

The WiFi display console receives RF sensor data from 10 different sensors (915 MHz) and sends the data to the Internet using WiFi (2.4 GHz).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure the console is plugged into AC power. It will not connect to WiFi otherwise.

  1. When you first power up the console, or press and hold the MIN/MAX- button for three seconds, the WiFi icon   will flash to signify that it has entered wireless access point (WAP) mode, and is ready to connect to the console’s WiFi.
  2. You can use your desktop, laptop, tablet, or smart phone to connect to the console’s WiFi. The console’s network name begins with WeatherHome, followed by a unique code.Choose your WiFi network settings  and connect to the WeatherHome, as shown in Figure 52 (your WiFi network name may be slightly different, but will always begin with WeatherHome).

  3. Once connected to the console WiFi, open any web browser, and enter the following IP address into the address bar:

    http://192.168.5.1

    to access the console’s web interface.

    Note: Some browsers will treat 192.168.5.1 as a search, so make sure you include the header http://,

    or: http://192.168.5.1 not 192.168.5.1.

  4.  Enter your 2.4 GHz router name or SSID, password, time zone and Daylight Saving Time into the web interface (see figure below), and tap Save.

  5. Once the setup is complete, disconnect your device from the console WiFi. Otherwise, the console will automatically exit WAP mode.

**NOTE** MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE AC POWER ADAPTER THAT CAME WITH YOUR CONSOLE. THE CONSOLE WILL NOT CONNECT TO WIFI WITHOUT THE POWER ADAPTER BEING USED.
