How to Activate Your AWN+ Subscription (Step-by-Step Guide)
If you purchased an Ambient Weather product that includes AWN+ (Ambient Weather Network Plus), you're just a few steps away from unlocking features like premium map layers, 10-day hourly forecasting, degree days, enhanced graphing, SMS alerts, and three years of data storage.
Follow this step-by-step guide to activate your subscription and start getting the most out of your weather station.
Step 1: Find Your Prepaid AWN+ Code
Your prepaid AWN+ code is included with your purchase.
- Amazon orders: Your code is your Amazon Order ID (including hyphens)
- AmbientWeather.com orders: Your code is your Order ID + the first 3 letters of your last name
Step 2: Go to AmbientWeather.net
Navigate to AmbientWeather.net to begin the activation process.
Click “Get Started” in the top right corner to:
- Log into your account, or
- Create a free account if you don't already have one
Step 3: Navigate to Subscriptions
Once you're logged in:
- Click Account
- Select Subscriptions
Step 4: Register Your Card
Before you can redeem your code, you'll be asked to register a card.
This step is required to:
- Verify your account
- Ensure continued access after your prepaid subscription ends
Important:
You will not be charged today, and you can turn off auto-renewal at any time.
Step 5: Redeem Your AWN+ Code
Scroll down to the “Redeem Gift Code” section:
- Enter your AWN+ code
- Click Apply
Your subscription will activate instantly.
Step 6: AWN+ Is Active
Once your code is applied, your account will now have full AWN+ access inside the Ambient Weather Network.
Once AWN+ Is Active: What to Do Next
Now that your AWN+ subscription is active, you can start using premium features inside the Ambient Weather Network right away.
Explore Premium Map Layers
View advanced layers like air quality, wildfires, and tropical systems to better understand conditions around you.
Analyze Your Data with Advanced Graphing
Compare stations, track trends, and customize graphs for deeper insights.
Access More Forecast & Historical Data
View up to 10 days of hourly forecasts and access up to 3 years of historical data.
Track Degree Days
Monitor heating, cooling, and growing degree days to better manage energy use and plan ahead.
Set SMS Alerts
Get notified when conditions reach your custom thresholds so you can stay informed and take action.
