Ambient Weather Return Policy Overview

We strive for customer satisfaction and our return and exchange policy reflects this philosophy.

  • No restocking fee: We do not charge a restocking fee, even for opened and used items, when returned during our 30 day return period, with the exception of personalized or special ordered items (including Davis Vantage Connect 6621, 6622, 6622C), where there is a 15% restocking fee. Solar Masters charges a 25% restocking fee on ALL non-defective returns.
  • Return Shipping labels on defective exchanges: Ambient Weather accepts responsibility for shipping charges (both ways) on exchanged defective items within 30 days of purchase. Please request a UPS return shipping label and one will be emailed to your account.

Ambient Weather offers a limited one year warranty on all products manufactured by Ambient Weather or private labeled with the Ambient Weather name for 1 year from the original date of purchase. Only products purchased new from Authorized Dealers will be warrantied. Currently, Amazon.com and AmbientWeather.com are the only authorized dealers.

Defective items can be returned directly to Ambient for a refund, within 30 days of purchase, or replacement, within one year from the date of purchase.

For products not manufactured by Ambient Weather, please contact the manufacturer directly for warranty replacement.

We request that products returned for refund must be 100 percent complete and contain ALL original manufacturer boxes with the original UPC code and packing materials, all manuals, blank warranty cards, accessories and any other documentation included with the original shipment.

Ambient Weather accepts responsibility for shipping charges (both ways) on defective items within 30 days of purchase. Please request a UPS return shipping label and one will be emailed to your account. Please note: if an item is returned as defective for an exchange and is determined not to be defective by our Technical Support Dept the shipping charges to return to the item back to the customer are the customer's responsibility. Shipping charges

  • On items returned for a warranty replacement original and return shipping charges are the customer's responsibility
  • On non-defective items returned under our 30 Day Return for refund policy original and return shipping charges are the customer's responsibility (original shipping charges are applied to the refund based on the carrier's invoice)

For your protection, we strongly recommend you fully insure your return shipment in case of loss or damage . Please use a carrier that is able to provide you with proof of delivery.

Ambient Weather brand items sold in used or open box condition, by an authorized dealer, have 90 Day exchange warranty from date of purchase.

Extended Holiday Return Schedule

Any order placed on or after November 25 can be returned up to January 25. Include a gift message in the Comments section during checkout to qualify.

Software Returns

Only defective software can be returned to Ambient. The return must take place within 30 days of invoice date and may only be replaced for the SAME software title. Multiple software licenses cannot be returned for refund or exchange unless first authorized by the manufacturer.
