Ambient Weather WH31P Water Proof Probe Temperature Sensor
Note: TheWH31P sensor is not a stand-alone device and requires a WS-2902B (or greater revision), WS-1965, WS-2000, WS-4000, or WS-5000 weather station to view and upload the data to our cloud hosting service at AmbientWeather.net.
Accessory for the ObserverIP, WS-1965, WS-2000, WS-2902B, WS-2902C, WS-3000, WS-3000-X3, WS-3000-X5, WS-0265, WS-4000, and WS-5000 (total of 8 sensors).
The remote sensor includes a 10-foot waterproof probe, ideal for measuring any wet temperature medium, including water, soil, refrigerators, and freezers. This sensor has an IPX4 water resistance rating.
The probed sensor has a low thermal mass and responds quickly to temperature changes.
Notes:
- The WH31P can be used indoors and outdoors, but if used outdoors, it needs to be protected. Although the sensor is weatherproof, it is best to mount it in a well-protected area, such as an eve or in an enclosure like the Ambient Weather WH31-SRS Temperature and Humidity Solar Radiation Shield.
Product Questions
To edit the sensor name on the console, select the history button 4 times 
, This will get you to the current data and sensor ID
Press the down button 
to select the sensor you wish to edit. Once selected hit the enter button

It will then pop up the sensor name screen. Press the 
to scroll to the character and press the to enter the character. Once done editing, select OK then 
to save.
If the display console only displays km, make sure your firmware is up to date. This issue was resolved in Version 1.6.3:

To view the Sensors ID panel on the display console, select the 
button to open the Set-Up page.
Then using the 
or buttons, highlight the More | Setup option towards the bottom right corner of the screen. You can then use the 
button to select this option.
From this page you can use the or buttons to highlight the Sensors ID | Setup option towards the top right corner of the screen. You can then use the button to select this option.
Q: Which sensors work with the WS-2902B console?
A: The WS-2902B will ONLY work with the WH31/WH31B/WH31E, WH31P (probed) and PM25/PM25IN sensors.
The sensors are “pass-through”, which means they will not appear on the local display console, but are displayed on AmbientWeather.net.
It will NOT work with WH31L (lightning), WH31LA (leak alert), WH31SM (soil moisture) .
