Ambient Weather WH31L® Lightning Detector

The WH31L Lightning detector is an add-on sensor that connects to either an Ambient Weather WS-2000 or WS-5000 weather station. The sensor detects lightning strikes and transmits this information once every 79 seconds to the display console and our cloud service, Ambient Weather Network (AWN). The sensor has three settings to adjust the sensitivity for possible interference.

Personal lightning detectors operate by detecting the electromagnetic pulse (EMP) emitted by a lightning strike. By measuring the strength of the detected EMP, the device can then estimate the distance from the detected strike. Through the application of electronics and software, personal lightning detectors such as the WH31L identify storm activity within a 25-mile range(40 km) of your location.

Ambient Weather WH31E® Wireless Temperature & Humidity Sensor

With warmer weather approaching, it's important to keep track of the humidity levels in your area. The Ambient Weather WH31E is a great option for doing just that, as it wirelessly monitors both temperature and humidity levels. This sensor is easy to set up and can be placed almost anywhere, making it a perfect addition to any weather station setup.

The WH31E Wireless Temperature & Humidity Sensor monitors temperature and humidity in up to 8 remote locations using channel dip switches. Place the sensor in an area of concern and view your measurements in real-time on the LCD display or our Ambient Weather Network via one of our compatible weather stations. The WH31E sensor can be used as a stand-alone, but it is not recommended as you will lose the capability to monitor conditions and receive alerts remotely.
