If AmbientWeather.net is working fine, but Wunderground.com is not updating, this is usually a typo.

Make sure that you did not enter a space on the end of your station ID or station key. It is easy to do, especially if you Copy and Paste from the Wunderground.com website.

It is easy to confuse the lower case letter l, upper case I and the number 1, as well as the number 0 and the letter O.

1. Launch the AmbientTool on your mobile device, select your device from the list, and select Next to view your Wunderground.com settings.

2. Make sure your station ID and password match exactly.
3. If you continue to have issues, email the following to support@ambientweather.com
   1. Your Wunderground sign in email address.
   2. Your Wunderground sign is password.
   3. Your Wunderground Station ID.
   4. Your Wunderground Station Key.
   5. The type of weather station.and will check for any typos.
4. It is possible Wunderground.com is temporarily down.
   In June 2018, Wunderground.com relaunched the back end of their website (the previous version was old and not maintained), and many of the stations went offline. They are less forgiving now with the Station ID and Station Key. Check again for any typos or spaces at the end. You can contact Wunderground.com here:

1. Power down and up the console by removing batteries and AC power. If the problem persists,
2. Reboot your router. If the problem persists,
3. Perform a factory reset:
4. Remove the power from the console by removing the batteries and disconnecting the AC adapter.
5. Apply power by connecting the AC adapter.
6. Wait for all of the segments to appear on the screen:
   
7.  Press and hold the WIND/+ and PRESSURE/- buttons at the same time until the console power up sequence is complete (about 5 seconds).
8. Replace the batteries.
9. You are now starting over. Reference the section in the manual for connecting the console to WiFi and the Internet.
10. Connect directly to your wireless router and not a repeater or range extender.

Weather Underground is owned by IBM, where the data is used for prediction services.

1. First, check Wunderground.com to make sure the station is really reporting:

   If the status indicator is green , your station is reporting.
2. If it is reporting, there are several reasons why it is not updating in the app or the map:

• If you went offline or new to Wunderground.com, it takes a day or two to get added to the map.
• If Wunderground.com detects a Quality Control issue in your data (weather station went offline for a period of time, or temperature is out of range when compared to other weather stations in your area). Sorry, we have no insight to what the error actually is and how the algorithm works.
• It can be an issue with the Wunderground.com website.  Be patient – they usually fix it. You can report the issue here:

1. Make sure your display console is already connected to WiFi (your WiFi icon in the time field will be on ).
2. To enter your station ID and Station Key, you will need to launch the AmbientTool mobile application for configuring the console.
3. Follow the wizard shown in the figures below and enter the Station ID and Station Key and select Save.

DO NOT copy and paste your station key into the app, as it will add a lagging space. Make sure you type it in. Also, it is easy to confuse the lower case letter l, upper case I and the number 1, as well as the number 0 and the letter O.

1. Login into your camera and view the camera web interface.  Select Network | FTP Settings from the menu.

2. Enter the following settings:

• FTP Server: ftp://webcam.wunderground.com (the name of the
  WeatherUnderground FTP server)
• FTP Port: 21 (this is the standard port for any FTP server)
• FTP User: Enter the Camera ID obtained from WeatherUnderground here:

  https://www.wunderground.com/webcams/signup.html

  The Camera ID is case sensitive and will include the characters “CAM” (example, AmbientCAM1).

• FTP Password: Enter your WeatherUnderground.com password. This
  is case sensitive.
• FTP Mode: PASV (signifies Passive mode)

3. Press TEST to confirm there are no FTP errors and the login credentials were entered correctly. The camera will return Success.

4. Press Set FTP Schedule button to save the settings and go to the FTP Schedule page.

5. Press Save to save the settings.

If you move to a different physical location, you must create a new Station ID and Station Key.

Login to your WeatherUndeground.com account and select My Profile and My Weather Stations to view your existing station ID and key, or visit:

Select the Tool icon on the right to delete this weather station.

You can create a new weather station at the bottom of this page by selecting the Add a New PWS button.

If Weather Underground has your weather station in the wrong location (longitude and latitude) or elevation is wrong, Wunderground will not fix it for you, and there is nothing we can do.

We recommend creating a new weather station and deleting the old one.

When registering again, drag the red dot to your actual location if it does not match your address. Enter the actual elevation in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

5. If your console is plugged into a switch, plug it directly into your router, and then power down and up the IP Module.

No, this is fake news. The rumors are not correct. WeatherUnderground.com is valuable and will continue to host your data.

The API (Application Programming Interface) is moving to Weather.com, but this only effects third party software applications that use the API.

Weather station owners are not effected by the API.

2. Power down and up your IP Module and wait a few minutes. If the problem persists:

5. Make sure the station ID and station key are entered properly.  The station ID and key will be cleared if the reset button is pressed on the back of the back of the IP Module.

1. Make sure your display console icon is showing relative pressure (REL) and not absolute pressure (ABS).
2. Weather Underground will suppress your pressure if they deem it inaccurate. Ambient Weather has no further details on their screening algorithm, but you can contact Weather Wunderground directly here:

Both the Station Key and your Wunderground.com password are interchangeable when publishing to Wunderground.com.

In 2016, Wunderground.com introduced the Station Key to improve security. It is not advisable to send your Wunderground password over the Internet. The Station Key can only be obtained by knowing the password.

In addition, if you change your password, you must reprogram your ambient device. The Station Key never changes.

We recommend you use the Station Key instead of your Wunderground password.

If you are seeing graph discontinuity for temperature and dew point and possibly other data on WeatherUnderground.com, and you do not see this issue on AmbientWeather.net, Wundeground.com has a known bug. The best way to resolve this is to create a new weather station.

How much bandwidth does my Weather Station Require?

The amount of uploaded data is dependent on the number of services you upload to, and sensors you own, but here is a rough guide:

For AmbientWeather.net upload every 12 seconds

Data stream: 174 Bytes

Total data in 24 hours: 86400/12 * 174 = 1252800 Bytes = 1.2MBytes (i.e.  36MB per month)

For WeatherUnderground.com: upload every 12 seconds

Data stream: 196 Bytes

Total data in 24 hours: 86400/12 * 196 = 1411200 Bytes = 1.34MBytes (i.e.  40MB per month)

The total is approximately 76MB per month.
